Short version: no accounts, no cookies, no ads, and your photos are never saved.

Photos of your table

When you photograph your table, the picture is made smaller on your device and sent once to our server, which passes it to Google’s Gemini model to find the plates, cutlery and glasses. The answer comes back to you. Neither we nor our server keep the photo, and it isn’t used to train anything by us. Google processes the image under its API terms to return the answer. To stop the reader being overused, we keep a daily count per device, stored as a scrambled code made from your connection’s address and the date that can’t be turned back into either; it is deleted with the day.

What we count

We count, per day and per table, how many tables are opened, meals finished, tables set and photos read. The counts have no names, no device ids and no cookies attached. They tell us which tables people use.

What stays on your device

Your chosen look and table set, your quiz scores, which tables you’ve set, and the name you type on a certificate are kept in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device. Clearing your browser data removes them.
