Advice, not rules

Customs vary by country, region, family and occasion, and your host always has the last word. Every entry names its source so you can check it. If you think something is wrong, tell us and we’ll look at it.

The photo reader

It’s a helpful guess, not a guarantee. When it isn’t sure, it says so. Don’t photograph other people without their permission; the reader only needs the table.

Certificates

They are for fun. They certify that you finished a meal in Quiz me, not that you can host a state banquet.
